Obtaining ADD Medication

So because people have abused the system (what else is new) I now have a hell of a time getting my prescription of Adderall filled.  According to different media outlets and such, I've learned that the DEA has forced the companies making Adderall to limit the production.  I ask only why?  Yes, the DEA has their hands full with illegal drugs coming into and out of this country faster than any illegal immigrant could ever do, but with something that is controlled and has been controlled by prescription-only forever, why does this need to be done?  Those of us that are forced to live with ADD and ADHD have to suffer from having the almost impossible task of tracking down a pharmacy that has it.  Basically forcing us to blindly compete with one another to see who gets the last batch at the local Walgreens or CVS.  You can forget going to the grocery store pharmacy or Wal Mart because they won't carry it anyway.  If you are lucky enough to find a pharmacy that has it, then you have to deal with the fact that they only have the generic form which does not work remotely as efficient.
It's bad enough that I have to deal with having ADD and needing to have the meds, but when Ass-Clowns in Washington get involved it really does screw things up for those of us that actually need it and use it as it is prescribed.  If anyone in Washington is monitoring this (doubt I'm that important) you need to re-evaluate your thought process and fix the real problems instead of making life for some of us very difficult.  I could also apply most of this to the argument of not being able to buy Sudafed only when the pharmacy is open...  Again, not all people are cooking meth...  I re-iterate the "Ass-Clown" comment...
